Achievements |

Corrugated paper had perfromed better response
in respect of freshness of Chrysanthemum and gladiolus
spikes after 24 hours of storage at room temperatures.
- 8 Hydroxyquinoline Citrate (500 ppm)+Sucrose (4%) was found
most beneficial in opening of basal florets, increased vase-life
and its longevity of gladiolus spikes cv. Snow Princess and
Regency.
- Aluminium Sulphate (300 ppm) +Sucrose (3%) was found significantly
superior for engancing the vase life of cut-rose flower stems
of cv. Arjun and Sugandha.
- 8 Hydroxyquinoline citrate (500 ppm)+Sucrose (2%) has found
most effective in opening of flower buds of Chrysanthemum
cv. Ajai and Sharad Har followed by a combination of sucrose
(2%) + Silver Nitrate (25 ppm)+Citric Acid (75 ppm).
