The conservatory of institute is in area of 1370 sq. mt. and meant for house plants from tropical and subtropical climates. There are nearly 550 species/cultivars of plants including of some rare cycads.

The specially constructed house for growing Pteridophytes/Ferns is established in an area of 400 sq. mt. The fern house is covered with mesh to cut excessive light and equipped with pqrinklers and water filled channels to maintain humidity. Agermplasm collection of 65 species of ferns and fern allies from India and abroad is maintained in fern house.
