  • Temporary and permanent histological slides preparation of all the higher and lower group plant parts. 
  • Quality analysis of seeds.
  • Analysis of seed viability, dormancy, germination and seed vigour.
Methodology
  • Material preservation, cleaning, dehydration, filtration, embedding, microtomy, staining and mounting of slides.
  • Quality analysis of seed by investigation of sterile, empty and full seed formation.
  • Analysis of seed viability, dormancy, germination and seed vigour by application of various chemicals and physical treatments.

B.Sc./M.Sc. Botany/Ag/Hort.
 
 
Facilities available in the Lab. Necessary for training
 
Basic infrastructures required for the training are available in the laboratory.

Lucknow has other three CSIR laboratories with their own Guest Houses. The city has also some 5/3 star Hotels for accommodation and it is well connected by rail, road and air with most of the cities of India.
